Large branded players have used Facebook (now Meta) successfully for revenue generation. Examples have been:

  • Dell Computers which has sold off "end of life" PC's and equipment.
  • North West Airlines promoting tickets to ensure empty seats are filled.

The key to more commercial success on Facebook is to turn users into "Fansumers". (Consumer + User ). They not only like your product(s) but they tell their friends about it.

It is a viral environment which has its downsides in addition to the benefits. The opportunity exists to benefit if you are prepared to commit to the process.

On the monetary side Facebook's mobile ads have proven to be a worthwhile option. Instagram has moved to the top of the pyramid as the most popular method.
